The Auto Bottom Tray is one of the most efficient structural formats in retail and fulfillment packaging. A pre-glued base pops open automatically when the flat-packed blank is lifted and pressed from the sides. It does not require folding, locking or taping of the bottom. The base pops into its final assembled position in less than a second, which gives this format a significant operational advantage for packing lines and retail floor teams handling a high volume of boxes under time pressure.

The auto-bottom base is not only easy to assemble, but it is constructed so that it will not come apart under load. The base panels are pre-glued at the factory and the assembly process itself locks the panels in place, rather than relying on friction or a hand-folded lock tab that can come undone under load. This is a more structurally reliable choice than equal material weight tuck bottom styles for products to be stacked, stored or shipped after packing.
The tray format, open at the top with no lid, is particularly effective for retail counter display applications where the product must be immediately accessible and visible, for secondary packaging inside a larger shipping box, and for food service trays where quick access is a priority. You can add a separate lid or display lid to make it a closed retail package or gift presentation.
Auto Bottom Trays can be custom made in various folding carton, kraft and corrugated materials for all dimension sizes. The exterior and interior surfaces can be printed in full-color, and the auto-bottom mechanism is pre-applied during manufacturing so that each blank is ready to assemble with no additional equipment or adhesive at your packing station.
